Services

All crisis strategy services begin with a one-hour £250 consultation, delivered via Google Meet. Often, this one call will be enough! If not, we will work together to develop a session package or retainer arrangement.

Active Crisis Management

When you're close to a situation, it's surprisingly difficult to see it objectively, and you might need strategic communications advice without engaging a full PR consultancy.

Working with me gives you an opportunity to step outside the situation, examine it properly, and make better decisions before anything becomes public or irreversible.

Whether you're preparing to make a public statement, dealing with criticism, managing an internal issue, or simply have a nagging feeling that something isn't quite right, having an experienced outside perspective can prevent small decisions from becoming much larger problems.

I will review your situation in detail and explain where I think the reputational vulnerabilities lie, identify unintended consequences you may not have considered, and help you understand how your decisions are likely to be interpreted once they're no longer under your control.

If, after your initial advisory session, it's clear that your circumstances would benefit from continued strategic input, we can agree a level of support that reflects the complexity of your situation and the amount of contact you're likely to need.

Reputation Recovery

Surviving a reputational crisis is one thing. Rebuilding credibility, professional standing, and stakeholder trust is another, and it requires a different kind of strategy.

Many people who have faced a reputational crisis find that once the immediate pressure subsides, they are left with something harder to address: the long-term damage to how they are perceived.

The narrative that formed during the crisis has calcified... even if the facts were more complicated. Even if the outcome was in your favour. Reputation recovery is the deliberate, strategic process of rebuilding credibility, re-establishing professional standing, and reshaping the narrative that others hold about you.

Recovery is the evidence-based work of demonstrating, over time, who you really are. It takes time and consistency. I help you build a realistic, sustainable plan (no PR stunts). Recovery built on honesty and demonstrated change is durable. Recovery built on spin is fragile. Different audiences require different approaches, and we map each one to help you build a credible future.

We map the damage (what happened, who knows, what narrative has formed, and where it persists), define what the optimal future looks like, and develop a strategy for how to get there.

Crisis Preparedness

Most organisations discover their crisis preparedness gaps at the worst possible moment: when a crisis is already unfolding. Crisis preparedness is rarely a priority until it becomes an emergency, when the options are narrower, decisions are harder, and costs (financial, operational, and reputational) are significantly higher.

If you don't want that to be you... I offer crisis preparedness audits to give you an honest, independent assessment of where you stand and a clear plan for what to do next.

These audits comprise three structured stages. We start with a goals meeting, then I will send you a set of tailored questions and conduct an independent readiness review. I will then provide you with a written report with prioritised recommendations, and we'll have a follow-up meeting to go through it.

Ongoing Strategic Support

Ongoing advisory support is designed for situations that are likely to develop over weeks or months, rather than days. Some situations don't resolve after a single conversation. Investigations evolve, stakeholder expectations change, media interest can fluctuate, and decisions that seem straightforward one week may look very different the next.

For clients navigating complex or high-risk situations, I offer ongoing confidential advisory support to provide continuity, independent judgement, and strategic thinking as circumstances develop.

Rather than responding to events in isolation, we work together to assess new information, consider the likely implications of each decision, and adapt your approach as the situation unfolds. Every arrangement is tailored to the client's circumstances, but may include:

  • Regular confidential advisory sessions

  • Preparation for meetings (e.g, with stakeholders, regulators, institutional leaders, or the media)

  • Strategic guidance during investigations, complaints, disciplinary processes or organisational change

  • Review of statements, correspondence and other sensitive communications

  • Real-time advice when unexpected developments require prompt, considered decisions

Not every situation needs a full strategic review. Sometimes you simply want to know if you're worrying about nothing or if your instincts are telling you something important. I also offer 45-minute Second Opinion calls (via Google Meet) for exactly this situation. Let's discuss your situation, explore the risks and determine if you need a more detailed strategic consultation.
